Our main focus at AHLP is the treatment of lymphoedema. Lymphoedema is the accumulation of a protein rich fluid in the tissues caused by an interruption of the lymphatic flow. This can be due to genetic abnormality, surgery, trauma or cancer treatments. It can affect the limbs, trunk, head and neck or genital area.

Mandy Harrison
Lymphoedema PhysiotherapistMandy has been a practicing physiotherapist since graduating from the University of SA with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy in 1978. The past 6 years she has worked in the specialised area of lymphoedema management having completed her Level 1 Lymphoedema Course in Melbourne.
Mandy is a Member of:
- Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA)
- Cancer, Palliative Care and Lymphoedema subgroup of APA
- Australasian Lymphology Association (ALA)
She is registered on the ALA’s National Lymphoedema Practitioner Register (NLPR) and can provide initial diagnostic assessment, ongoing assessment and treatment of people with lymphoedema. She has Clinical Privilege at Stirling Hospital.
